AMU staff participated in the European Congress on Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases
The XXVII European Congress on Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases took place in Vienna. The employees of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology of Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU) took partin this event: Associate Professor Vidadi Narimanov, prof. Nigar Agayeva, Assoc. Prof. Hayat Aliyeva and assistant Fidan Bagirova. The congress was attended by more than 12,500 professionals from 126 countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Holland and Belgium.
Associate Professor of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology of AMU, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Executive Secretary of the Public Union of Medical Microbiologists and Immunologists Vidadi Narimanov made a speech. Associate Professor V. Narimanov noted that the International Congress this year was considered to be one of the biggest events on the diagnosis of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases.
It should be noted that the congress consisted of more than 200 scientific sessions, 27 interactive symposia covering all aspects of the diagnosis of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases, including 4,500 abstracts. The theme of the congress was modern problems of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases: resistance to antibiotics and problematic antibacterial treatment, infections associated with sepsis, fungal infections (fungal infections), viral hepatitis.
