Palacký University has been placed on the prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU, or Shanghai Ranking) for the first time, entering between the 601st and 700th places. It joins Masaryk University and Czech Technical University in Prague in the same category, with Charles University in Prague placing in the category between the 201st and 300th places. The Shanghai Ranking is equivalent to the THE World University Rankings and the QS World University Rankings in prestige.
On September 21, 2017, the Faculty of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (Germany), organized the Conference on Higher Education and Cooperation with Agribusiness Sector on the premises of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of Srpska.
On the 2017 list of QS World University Rankings by Subject, the University of Novi Sad appeared, for the first time, among the 200 and 300 best ranked universities in Agriculture & Forestry, and on the EECA University Rankings list (Emerging Europe & Central Asia University Rankings) among the 130 best universities in this part of the world, ranked between 121st and 130th place.
Chuck Staben, UI’s President, and Larry Stauffer, Dean of UI’s College of Engineering, paid a visit to SCUT on July 4 to talk about the further cooperation. The guests were received by Zhang Xichun, Secretary of the CPC SCUT Committee, at the Liwu Building of Science and Technology.
On March 27, a signing ceremony of establishing a Sino-Romania Jujube Research Lab between Hebei Agricultural University and Bucharest University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine was held at the meeting-room of the Comprehensive Building. An Agreement was signed jointly by President Shen Shuxing of HEBAU, Florin Stanica, Vice President of BUAVM and Chairman of EU Fruit Commission and Liu Mengjun, Director of the Sino-Romania Jujube Research Lab from China.
On May 17 TEMPUS ARMENQA project final conference took place at Yerevan State University.
