Acting Rector of Ural State University of Architecture and Art: Sergei Pavlovich POSTNIKOV, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, a member of the Union of Architects of Russia, a member of the Russia Designers Association, a holder of the title of Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation.
Prof. Postnikov is the author and science editor of more than 350 scientific and nonfiction works on the history of Yekaterinburg and Ural including ten monographs and study guides. He is Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Ural History Encyclopedia, the Encyclopedia of Yekaterinburg, a member of the editorial board of encyclopedias "Metallurgical Plants of Ural. ХVII – ХХ centuries" and "Atomic Towns of Ural."
Prof. Postnikov has been awarded the Certificates of Honor of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Presidium of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian Culture Foundation, the Governor and the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Legislative Assembly of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Yekaterinburg City Duma and the Head of Yekaterinburg, the Ministry of Culture of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Administration of Kamensk-Uralski. Prof. Postnikov is a two-time laureate of the Award of Yekaterinburg Founders V.N. Tatischev and G.V. de Hennin (1999, 2003). He is a frequent winner of the grants provided by the Russian Foundation for Humanities.
