The Ural State University of Architecture and Art provides continuous multi-level training which includes pre-university training, Bachelor's, Specialist's and Master's degrees, highly qualified staff training, advanced training, and professional retraining in all educational programs implemented by the university.
The university trains specialists in the priority areas of economic development of the Ural Federal District and the Sverdlovsk Region and contributes to the modernization of the socioeconomic and sociocultural potential of Ural in a number of industries: residential development, machine building, the military-industrial complex, transport, advertising, printing industry, culture and arts, research and education centers.
The educational programs offered by the university have a professional-public accreditation certificate confirming that the quality of programs complies with the standards and criteria of professional-public accreditation established in accordance with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area ESG-ENQA.
Since 2013 the university has been a full-fledged member of the International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media CUMULUS.
The joint council of the International Union of Architects (UIA) – UNESCO unanimously decided to recognize the validation of the USUAA's Bachelor's program in Architecture as compliant with the UNESCO Charter – UIA and accredited its quality for five years until 2022.
The educational programs offered by the university annually become winners of the all-Russian project Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia.
In 2018 the Multimedia Design major was launched within the Design educational program. In 2019 USUAA will enroll the first Bachelor students to major in Interface Design, and Master students of the Architecture program to major in Conceptual Architectural Design of Buildings in Urban Contexts and Master students of the Design program to major in Transport Design.
Graduates are employed at the Ministry of Construction and Infrastructure Development of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Department of Architecture, Urban Planning and Land Use Regulation of the Yekaterinburg City Administration as well as various industrial enterprises, design and construction organizations of the city and the region.
