L. V. Chichanovskaia graduated from TverStateMedicalAcademy. She defended her Candidate's thesis in 2002 and her Doctor's thesis in 2011.  She had been the Head of the Center for Treatment and Prevention of Cerebrovascular Diseases of the RegionalClinicalHospital since 2002 and the Center for Treatment of Patients with Angioneurological and Cardiovascular Pathology of the RegionalClinicalHospital since 2003. Since 2007 L. V. Chichanovskaia has been the chief regional neurologist of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Tver Region, provides diagnostic and treatment, organizational and methodological and consulting assistance. She has been Head of the Department of Nervous Diseases of Tver Medical Academy since 2008. From 2013 to 2019 she held the position of head physician at the Regional Clinical Treatment and RehabilitationCenter. She has been Rector of Tver State Medical University since 2019.

L.V. Chichanovskaia supervised the development of clinical standards for diagnostics and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular pathology taking into account age groups, practical application of thrombolytic therapy of ischemic strokes, the work of multidisciplinary brigades for patients with cerebrovascular pathology. The regional registers of cerebral stroke and multiple sclerosis were created under her supervision.

Since 2000 L.V. Chichanovskaia has been a member of the National Stroke Control Association. She actively participates in international conferences, congresses and symposia.

She has published more than 100 scientific papers and is the author of two inventions and five monographs.
