Saratov State Medical University named after V.I. Razumovsky

Rector: Vladimir Mikhailovich POPKOV, Head of the Department of Urology of SaratovStateMedicalUniversity named after V.I. Razumovsky.

Mr. Popkov served as Vice Rector for Clinical Work. He was the Head of Clinical Hospital №3 of SSMU for three years. In 2009 - 2010 he served as First Vice Rector of Saratov State Medical University.

V.M. Popkov's research interest is urology. In 1990 he defended a thesis for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences on the theme "Substantiation of the optimal varicocele treatment method". He defended his Doctor’s thesis in 2012.

Mr. Popkov is a board certified doctor. He was awarded the sector badge "Excellent Worker of Public Health" and has the honorary title of Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation.
