Evgenii V. BORZOV, Rector, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Public Health of the Russian Federation.

Prof. Borzov was born in 1960. He graduated from Ivanovo State Medical Institute and has MD degree in General Medicine. He has been loyal to Ivanovo Medical Academy throughout all his entire career. He rose from a registrar to the position of Head of the Otorhinolaryngology and Ophthalmology Department.

Prof. Borzov has been Rector since 2011. His research interests include the study of age-related peculiarities, diagnostics and treatment of pharyngeal lymphoid ring pathology. He is the author of more than 120 published scientific papers.

He has been a representative of the Ivanovo Region in the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation since 2017.
