Olga P. KOVTUN, Rector, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, a holder of the title of Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Prof. Kovtun graduated from Sverdlovsk State Medical Institute where she has been working for 35 years.

She is the author of more than 400 scientific papers, 11 patents and computer program certificates, the founder of the Pediatric Neurology scientific school. More than 30 candidates and doctors of medical sciences were trained under her supervision.

She is a laureate of the award of Yekaterinburg founders V.N. Tatischev and G.V. de Hennin; Deputy Chairperson of the Union of Pediatricians of Russia, Chief freelance pediatrician of the Ural Federal District.

In 2011 she was awarded the honorary title of Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation.

In October 2016 she was elected a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Pediatrics.
