Acting Rector of Siberian Federal University since 2017: Vladimir Innokentevich KOLMAKOV, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor. He graduated with honors from KrasnoyarskStateUniversity with a degree in Biology and Plant Physiology in 1990 and started his teaching career at alma mater, at the Department of Hydrobiology and Ichthyology in 1996. He has risen through the ranks from Assistant Professor to Professor and afterwards became one of the founders and developers of SiberianFederalUniversity. His research interests include hydrobiology, ecology, and physics.

Prof. Kolmakov is the author of 57 articles published in the journals of the Web of Science (h-index: 8) and Scopus (h-index: 7) databases.
