Teaching staff. The teaching staff include leading specialists in the field of musical art and management, Candidates and Doctors of Sciences, practitioners working at production centers, record labels, opera theaters, etc. The department holds meetings and organizes master classes with the participation of producers, composers and hit-makers A. Lunev, A. Shulgin, O. Nesterov, etc.

In 2016 the department held meetings with FedorEliutin (a music promoter), G.Iu. Iulkin (Head of the Russian Repertoire Department of the Studia Soyuz record label), DmitriiErmak (a soloist of The Phantom of the Opera musical), etc.

Russian Gnessin Academy of Music offers some more best educational programs in the field of Culture and Arts.

University partners within the educational program. The Association of Laureates of the International Tchaikovsky Competition, the Union Studio record label, Butman Music Group, the Directorate of the Golden Mask Russian National Theater Award, the Culture TV channel, etc.

Students’ and alumni’s achievements. The faculty students participate in seminars and round tables, exhibitions devoted to the development of music industry in Russia and in the world, for example, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Music-Moscow exhibition, and act as hosts, masters of ceremonies and performers in numerous concerts and festivals held at Russian Gnessin Academy of Music.

In 2016 students took part in the musical contest of GrigoriiLepsProductionCenter, the international festival competition “Masters of Music,” in the projects of the Our Time allRussian festival group, the 26th international competition of students’ research works in musical art, the Festival of Arts in Varna, and other events.

Facilities and resources. The library, the record library and the reading room with internet access. The group classrooms and student lounges have a network of electronic information terminals with free access to library collections (educational, scientific, reference literature) as well as audio and video recordings, ICT rooms. Non-resident students are accommodated in a dormitory.

Students’ opportunities. Students can implement their own projects, headhunt talents and help them find their audience, or take charge of their own production center, concert complex, philharmonic organization, theater or concert hall.

Employment prospects. Performing arts producer, head of a business and administrative unit of a theater, a concert hall, a performance ensemble. Our alumni are employed as directors and administrators in symphonic orchestras and philharmonic halls, at producing companies and in director’s groups of famous soloists; at recording companies and music publishing companies (for example, Warner Music Russia), as directors, music editors and PR managers in mass media.
