HEI’s image.Institute of Law at NCFU is the leading educational and research center in the field of jurisprudence in the North Caucasus Federal District. The University was ac-credited by the Association of Lawyers of Russia in 2012, in the same year it joined the Association of Legal Education. In 2013 a special education board in the field of law and legal issues in the North Caucasus Federal District was established in NCFU.

Programme presentation. The Bachelor’s programme which offers education and training in six profiles has all the necessary resources: staff, educational, methodological, material, engineering, laboratory and information facilities. The library collection of NCFU contains over 2.5 million volumes. The Institute has process-specific study rooms, computer classrooms, language laboratories, a study court room. There is also a research forensic laboratory and a Legal clinic operating in NCFU.

North-Caucasus Federal University offers two more best educational programs in the field of Humanities:

The Institute is very active in international cooperation and has long-term partnership agreements with the University of Graz (Austria), the University of Waikato (New Zealand), “Mkhitar Gosh” University (Armenia), and some others. Bachelors can continue their studies in a Master’s Programme (4 Master’s Programs) and Post Graduate’s Programme (6 research fields).

Teaching staff. The Institute comprises seven Departments. Over 85% of the teaching staff have academic degrees and/or titles including 13% Doctors of Sciences. Research is being carried out within 5 research fields using the premises and facilities of 4 research centres and 5 research laboratories. In 2014 the Centre of Election Law and Process, and the Research and Education Centre of Forensic Examination were established.

Competitiveness of students. Graduates are generally employed by arbitral or judicial and law enforcement authorities, central and local authorities, at industrial enterprises in different regions of Russia, mainly in the North Caucasus Federal District. During their studies, the students participate and win in subject oriented competitions and contests (All-Russia student Olympiad in Law, All-Russia contest “My law-making initiative” and some others)

Interaction with employers. This educational programme has been developed in co-operation with Stavropol regional organization – the Association of the lawyers of Russia, and local employers. The Institute offers a number of further education programs for representatives of relevant organizations and companies.
