Programme presentation. The Bachelor’s programme Technological Environment Safety trains graduates in 3 study fields: Engineering Protection of the Environment (offered at the Department of Engineering Issues in Ecology of the Aircraft Faculty), Safety of Technological Processes and Production (offered at the Department of Gas Dynamic Pulse Devices of the Aircraft Faculty), Technological Environment Safety (offered at the Department of Labour Safety of Power Engineering Faculty).

Teaching staff. The teaching staff of the Department is composed of highly-qualified teachers. The team includes 7 Doctors of Sciences, professors, 7 Candidates of Sciences, associate professors, senior lecturers and assistants. The classes are conducted by part-time research staff, working at the Institute of Catalysis of the Siberian Branch of RAS, at the Institute of Solid Body Chemistry and Mechanical Chemistry, at the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Siberian Branch of RAS.

Competitiveness of students. The Department has in place several innovative re-search laboratories: Engineering Protection of the Environment, New Materials Based on Technogenetics Waste, and Eco-analytical Laboratory.

During the course of studies, students have an opportunity to go on student exchange visits to the USA, Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy, South Korea, China and other countries.

The Bachelor graduates can be employed at the departments of industrial safety and ecology; in design institutions; environment condition monitoring institutions, research institutes, etc.

Interaction with employers. The Department has close ties with industrial institutions, the Department of Nature Resources and Environment protection of Novosibirsk Region, architectural companies, research and design institutions. The staff have annual intern-ships at research centres of Russia. The teachers take part in the international conferences, symposia and congresses.

The students are placed for work experience at the largest enterprises of Novosibirsk (Gorvodokanal, Novosibirsk Aircraft Plant, JSC Novosibirsk Aircraft Repair Plant), at the leading research institutions of the Siberian Branch of RAS, and private ecological enterprises: EcoNIIproject, ChistyiGorod, Chistyi Service Company Group, etc.
