STATE BUDGETARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION OF THE MOSCOW REGION: UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY
Rector: Tatiana Evgenevna STARTSEVA, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the United Russia fraction in the Council of Deputies of Korolev.
Prof. Startseva was born in the town of Kaliningrad of the Moscow Region (now Korolev). She graduated from Moscow State Correspondence Pedagogical Institute with a degree in Physics. She started her pedagogical career as a teacher of Physics at a comprehensive school. She is one of the pioneers and founders of the higher education institution in the Korolev science city and has been its Rector since 2002.
Under the supervision of Prof. Startseva the University of Technology established such unique subdivisions as the engineering center, the Quantorium children’s technopark. It also established 14 specialized departments at major aerospace enterprises and other organizations of the region. The university is a basic higher education institution of the North-Eastern academic cluster. In 2018 the university was included into the Top-100 best educational institutions of Russia (according to the ranking compiled by RAEX Agency).
Her research interests include education quality issues, HEI evaluation criteria (accreditation, licensing, etc), creation of the lifelong learning system. She is the author of more than 140 publications, study guides and research monographs.
