Awards and achievements. The program has successfully undergone state and public accreditation and has been listed among Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia. The State University of Humanities and Social Studies is ranked among 150 universities delivering high-quality legal education by the Russian Association of Lawyers.

Teaching staff. Training is provided by 28 educators including academic staff holding PhD Habil. (22%) and PhD (66%) degrees. Practicing professionals and industry experts (at least 7% of the staff) are also involved in the teaching process.

Facilities and resources. Classrooms and computer classrooms are fitted with state-of-the-art multimedia equipment. Students have access to regularly updated reference legal systems such as Consultant Plus and Garant as well as electronic library systems including Student's Consultant, Znanium, Urite, etc. The faculty has one of the best forensic laboratories, a moot court, a trace evidence analysis laboratory, and a media hall.

Research. Research is conducted under the guidance of the following staff: O. Blinkov, PhD Habil. in Law, Full Professor (exercise and protection of inheritance rights and family law); V. Eliseev, PhD Habil. in Law, Associate Professor (land and agricultural law); S. Kirillov, PhD Habil. in Law, Full Professor (violent and juvenile crime).

The university also holds annual academic workshops and conferences including the All-Russian student conference "Youth Forum: Legal Sciences."

Education. Teachers use state-of-the-art teaching methods including moot courts, case studies, etc.

Under the teachers' guidance students also provide legal consultations to people across a wide range of legal issues in the student Center for Legal Protection at the university.

Strategic partners. Vitebsk State University, municipal authorities of Kolomna, Ministry of Internal Affairs (Kolomna Intermunicipal Office), Ministry of Internal Affairs (Voskresensky District), Kolomna municipal court, Moscow Region bar association (Kolomna branch), etc.

International projects and programs. Students participate in academic exchange programs with Harbin Normal University (China) and take part in international student conferences and forums.
