Lipetsk State Technical University

Lipetsk State Technical University is the largest multidisciplinary university in the region which satisfies, first of all, the Lipetsk Region demand for highly qualified workforce with skills in advanced manufacturing technologies and methods. For more than 60 years the university has been training specialists for metallurgical, engineering and chemical industries as well as for academic, university and sectoral science.

Over 7,000 students and postgraduate students are currently studying at the university. The university employs over 750 staff including more than 390 academic staff members. The university collaborates with 200 industrial enterprises and business organizations. The largest enterprises, leaders in their field of industry are among the LSTU partners: NLMK, Indesit International (Lipetsk), KAMAZ (Naberezhnye Chelny), Uralhimmash (Yekaterinburg). Currently the university cooperates with 39 higher education institutions abroad including the universities of Italy, Germany, Portugal, Serbia, Poland, Slovakia, China, Denmark, and the CIS countries. LSTU has been successfully implementing joint projects with EU partners for several years already as part of the Tempus-Tacis project.

Today the university is one of recognized higher education leaders in the Central Black Earth region. In 2017 LSTU was ranked fifth in the national ranking of Russian HEIs by employers' demand for specialists. In 2018 and 2019 the students of LSTU became the winners of the contest of the Innovative Development Agency "IT-START" and the Case-In International Engineering Championship, prize winners of interactive sessions of the Youth Day of the Russian Energy Week, and finalists of the contest of case projects in the field of digital technologies "IT-Generation."

The university benefits from modern academic resources and state-of-the-art facilities including the following:
