Tourist attractions

  • Lago-Naki Plateau is a natural asset not only of Adygea, but also of the Caucasus, Russia, and even the whole world. It is located not only in Adygea, but also on the territory of the Krasnodar Territory, is partially included in the Caucasus Nature Reserve. It is one of the most beautiful places in Adygea. It is famous for its alpine meadows. Here lies one of the most popular ecological walking routes in the country. In winter, you can admire local beauty spots here or go sledding or skiing, ride a snowmobile, or ride a horse.
  • Ammonite Valley is a unique wildlife site and open-air museum that stretches along the Belaya River. Today is protected by the state. Ammonites are the most ancient dwellers of our planet, cephalopods that became extinct hundreds of millions of years ago. Only numerous shells covering the valley remind us of them.
  • Bolshoy Tkhach is a mountain group and natural park of the same name in Adygea. It was founded in 1997 and included in the UNESCO list. The highest peak is 2,368 m. In Adygei, the word “tkhach” means “ever-young God.” Deciduous and coniferous forests and alpine grass plants grow here. Some trees are 700 years old. There are no plants at high altitude, there are only stone wastelands here, but you can get amazing views of mountain ridges and green velvet valleys around. On its territory, there are more than 200 bird species, many of which are listed in the Red Book, as well as European bisons, deer, roes, and boars.
