Awards and achievements of the educational program. Professional-public accreditation (2015; the accrediting authority - the Association for Engineering Education of Russia).
The expert evaluation proved that the content and quality of the Information Security program comply with the Federal State Educational Standards.
North-Caucasus Federal University also offers a Specialist’s program in Information Security of Automated Systems
Teaching staff. Three Doctors of Sciences, 10 Candidates of Sciences. Many of them have awards and honorary titles. The total academic degree holders rate is 84.6%. The representatives of employers are also actively engaged in the educational process.
University partners within the educational program. The Territorial Center of Information Technologies of the Stavropol Territory, the Infocom-S internet service provider, Stilsoft Group, a Russian developer and manufacturer of integrated security systems.
Students’ and alumni’s achievements. The Masters’ employment rate is 85%. Students and alumni participate in scientific conferences; do research and have publications in scientific editions.
Facilities and resources. NCFU has all the facilities and resources required to offer its students proper learning opportunities: 17 academic buildings, comfortable dormitories, a research library, and gyms. Students can attend specialized sports clubs and creative studios and use services of the Alumni Employment and Student Career Planning Center. Students can also attend the degree-granting department of Information Security Arrangement and Technology laboratories of cybersecurity firmware, use networks and data transmission systems, shelter protection of automation system information, electrotechnics, electronics and circuit engineering, cybersecurity technologies and firmware, information science, programming technologies and methods, cybersecurity management.
Opportunities for students. Work placement and pregraduation internships: Infokom‑S, the Territorial Center of Information Technologies of the Stavropol Territory; the branch of the Radio Frequency Center of the Central Federal District in the Southern and the North-Caucasus Federal Districts; internet service providers: Mircom, Rostelecom, Orbita, Signal; VTB Bank, Sberbank of Russia; ASKOM Certification Authority, Stilsoft Group; the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Communications of the Stavropol Territory, and others. Graduates can pursue their postgraduate studies in in Information Security.
