Teaching staff. All teachers have academic degrees. The teaching staff includes eight Doctors of Sciences (28%), two Corresponding Members of the
Facilities and resources. The university has numerous facilities and resources: a laboratory of agricultural chemistry, a laboratory of soil science, a laboratory of microbiology and plant physiology, an agro-environmental laboratory, centers for shared use of state-of-the-art scientific equipment.
Research. The promising research areas include the following: environmental and biological aspects of adaptive cultivation technology for cereal crops in the Central Black Earth Region; experimental and theoretical foundations of the use of the flow structure of agroecosystems in precision farming; study of the influence of soil management practices, chemical crop protection products and different manufacturers' equipment on the growth, development and productivity of crops; scientific substantiation and development of resource-saving highly productive environmentally sustainable agroecosystems and agrolandscapes based on the scientific principles of adaptive intensification.
Education. The university uses state-of-the-art technologies, multimedia equipment for lecture halls. There is an electronic educational environment which comprises all necessary methodological papers on the program disciplines. Students undertake educational internships and work placement at the best regional enterprises.
Strategic partners. The university cooperates with enterprises such as Schelkovo Agrohim LLC, PhosAgro-Oryol LLC, BASF and such research centers as the All-Russian Research Institute of Legumes and Groat Crops, the All-Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Breeding, the All-Russian Research Institute for Agricultural Microbiology (
International projects and programs. The university participates in the Erasmus+ program, the IAMONET RU academic mobility program, cooperates with DAAD — the German Academic Exchange Service. The European universities participating in the program are University of Hohenheim,
Competitive advantages. The competitive advantages include highly qualified teaching staff and high demand for graduates. Students undertake their work placement at partner enterprises which are potential employers. Their representatives are members of state examination boards.
