Achievements. RFBR grant № 18-02-00544 "Mathematical Modeling of Radiophysical Phenomena by Methods of Wave Theory of Catastrophes."
Teaching staff. The program is carried out by 30 teachers including four Doctors of Sciences (Professors), 20 Candidates of Sciences. Representatives of the real sectors of the economy are involved in teaching, such as programmers, IT specialists, information system developers.
Facilities and resources. An electronic information and educational environment, up-to-date information technologies, specialized software.
All the rooms are fitted with modern equipment: personal computers (laptops), projectors, information stands, learning materials.
Research. The institute houses five scientific schools. Actual problems of mathematical modeling and computational mathematics, including the wave theory of catastrophes, mathematical and computer modeling of the propagation, focusing and scattering of electromagnetic waves in telecommunication, positioning, radio communications, radar, radio navigation tasks, as well as in remote sensing of natural and artificial environments, are researched.
Education. Active and interactive forms of classes (computer simulations, business and role games, case study, psychological and other workshops). The course program includes workshops by experts and specialists in natural sciences and engineering education.
Special attention is paid to practical training. The base department, created in cooperation with the Science and Technology Center of Unique Appliance Construction of the Russian Academy of Sciences, plays a key role in it.
The training is carried out based on close interaction between the educational process and research. The students take part in Russian and international conferences and work at research centers abroad. The young scientists' participation in the innovative activity is encouraged by the organizational and financial support of scientific engineering innovative projects, information exchange and discussion of cooperation opportunities as part of youth integration projects.
Strategic partners. A large part of the research is carried out in cooperation with institutions and universities of the Moscow Region.
Competitive advantages. The practice is based at federal research institutes, multidisciplinary companies and organizations fitted with up-to-date computer and laboratory equipment. The university implements the system of seamless IT education, additional education programs are carried out.
