Awards and achievements. The department staff includes one Honored Worker of Geodesy and Cartography and two Excellent Workers of Geodesy and Cartography. Professional-public accreditation, certificate Reg. № ОАС CCT/21/67, August 17, 2021.
Teaching staff. 75% of the teaching staff hold academic degrees, and 18% have professional experience. All the teachers at the department have field-specific education. Every year the teachers of major disciplines publish their research findings in the world’s leading editions. The teachers take advanced training courses on a regular basis.
Admission requirements for foreign citizens. Foreign citizens can apply to SSUGT on equal terms with Russian citizens. The university has the International Center for Education. The information for international applicants is available at sgugit.ru/en.
Education. Students undergo practice-oriented training, implement projects and undertake work placements and professional internships at enterprises. The electronic information educational environment provides high-quality information and academic and methodological support of the learning process.

Graduates work for the organizations of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography (Rosreestr) federal and regional environmental protection and environmental management authorities; ministries and government agencies of the RF, including the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities, and other federal executive authorities; government and management authorities of Russia’s constituent entities, municipalities; academic and departmental research institutions; comprehensive education institutions, professional educational organizations and higher education institutions as well as business companies such as 2GIS, the SCANEX Engineering and Technology Center, Roscartography, SOVZOND Company, RNG, and others.
