Accreditation. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020.
Awards and achievements. Students regularly participate in WorldSkills competitions in the Electronics competency (1st place in the Electronics competency (16 Electronics) in the 2nd National Interuniversity Professional Skill Championship according to WorldSkills standards in Moscow, 2018), in research projects and contests, conferences (1st place in the 16th International Conference of Students, PhD Students and Young Scientists “Prospects for the Development of Fundamental Sciences” (Tomsk).
Teaching staff. High quality of specialist training is provided by highly qualified staff of the Institute of Digital Development and other university units. Twelve Doctors of Sciences, Professors and 52 Candidates of Sciences, Associate Professors are engaged in the delivery of the educational programs.
Facilities and resources. While delivering the educational programs, modern software and facilities and resources are used (the specialized center for WorldSkills competencies in the Electronics competency, National Instruments Research Equipment Sharing Center, REC of Photovoltaics, the Clean Zones Scientific and Laboratory Complex) and regional specialized enterprises.
Education. The educational programs are delivered according to CDIO principles with a focus on WorldSkills standards in the Electronics competency. The content and efficiency of the educational programs conform to the level of state-of-the-art technologies and meet
key stakeholders’ expectations.
Research. Students take part in studying optical, electrophysical, photoelectric, luminescent properties of layers and films, diode-like electroluminescent structures and photoelectric transducers for use in optoelectronics.
Competitive advantages. High demand at specialized enterprises in the North-Caucasus region gives a competitive edge to graduates.
Employers and employment. The key employers of graduates of the educational program are Elektroavtomatika, Stilsoft Group, the Signal radio manufacturing plant of Stavropol of Concern Radio-Electronic Technologies, Shema, Monocrystal, Analog, the LUM research and production firm, Concern Energomera.
