Awards and achievements. In December 2020, the program underwent professional and public accreditation, carried out by the Council for Professional Qualifications in Agribusiness. Achievements include prize-winning places in the All-Russian best research paper competition for students, postgraduate students, and young researchers from universities of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the International intellectual contest for students, postgraduate students, doctoral students, international research and practice conferences for students, participation in the International Veterinary Congress.
Teaching staff. The program is delivered by highly qualified teachers, including 64 Candidates of Sciences, 14 Doctors of Sciences, six Corresponding Members and Academicians of the RAS and the RANS, a representative of the real sector of the economy.
Facilities and resources. Modular liquid chromatographs, refractometers, rotary evaporators, fiber analyzers, fat extractors, incubators, thermostats, refrigerators, ovoscopes, millivoltmeters, рН meters, a milk quality analyzer, a luminoscope, a trichinelloscope, a viscometric analyzer, Mojonnier centrifuge.
Research. The Academy takes an active part in the projects financed by the grants from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, the Russian Science Foundation, the Federal Targeted Program, the Russian Government.
The priority research area is the development of quality evaluation of consumer properties, the inspection of raw materials, products of animal and plant origin.
Education is based on online surveys, ICT, research teaching methods, games.
Strategic partners. Agribusiness enterprises: the Miratorg Agribusiness Holding, Cherkizovo Group, Ramensky Meat Processing Plant, Gzhelsky Collective Farm, Golovkovo State Farm; research institutions: the Federal Center for Animal Health, the Central Scientific and Methodical Veterinary Laboratory, the Moscow Veterinary Association.
International projects and programs. The Academy cooperates with international associations (EAEVE), foreign universities and research centers. The most important joint project is implemented in collaboration with the National University of Trujillo (Peru) and the National University of Litoral (Argentina) in search of measures to improve the quality of poultry products.
Competitive advantages. Graduates work in the fields of monitoring during transportation of products of plant and animal origin, veterinary and sanitary inspection of products and raw materials of plant and animal origin, monitoring of compliance with veterinary and sanitary regulations during export and import operations and transportation of animals.
Assistance and support for international students and teachers. The Academy provides a full range of consulting services for foreign citizens with individual attention to them. Bilingual teachers, advisors, and tutors are engaged. Foreigners are members of the Student Council, the Student Initiative Support Center, the Peoples' Friendship International Club. They are accommodated in comfortable dormitories.
