RSREU traditions The University developed a conception and implemented comprehensive program of educational work with students, which is based on patriotic education of socially active, creative and esthetic development of the individual. The University has a well-developed and long-established system of student self-government, which covers all aspects of students life: student union organization, Student Council of the University, student councils of hostel, hobby clubs with long traditions. At the annual summer and winter camps of student activists, senior studentsshare their experience of self-government undergraduates. The major scientific directions are: • Creation of prospective radio, info and telecommunication devices and systems. • Development of mathematical, programming and technological equipment for computer systems and systems of signal, image and field processing; • Development of new information technologies and methods of control for scientific and technological and socio-economics fields. • Development of physical basis of projecting systems and technologies of electronic and microelectronic devices. University Digital Environment In the university there exists the corporative computing network, e-mail, Internet-Centre, distance-learning Centre, virtual learning/teaching package ‘Moodle’. Partners of the RSREU in Russia RSREU has firmly developed cooperation with leading enterprises of Ryazan and the Russian Federation: The state Ryazan Instrument Factory, the Ryazan Radio Factory, Research and Development Institute of Gas-discharge Devices «Plazma» (Ryazan), «Ryazan - Power», Tyazhpressmash Factory (Ryazan), the Russian Research and Development Institute of Space Instrumentation (Moscow), the State Space Research and Production Center of M.V. Khrunichev (Moscow), the Central Research and Development Institute of Mechanical Engineering (Moscow), the All-Russia Electrotechnical Institute (Moscow), Flight and Research Institute (Moscow), «The Phasotron Corporation NIIR» (Moscow) etc. Since 2009 in the frame of the RF program ‘Russian Federation Nanotech Infrastructure Development’ RSREU has been performing the work ‘Implementation of remote access for students, researchers and developers to a range of scanning probe, atomic-force and electronic microscopes for diagnosis and tests of nanoparticles, nanostructured and nanomodified materials’. Awards The university is a large regional scientific centre. By the decree of the government №326 from 13.03.87 it is included in the top of scientific universities of the country. The scientific importance and level of researches carried out in the University, qualification of scientific staff are confirmed by the fact that within the last five years 17 doctoral and 88 candidate’s thesis were defended, 57 patents (in all for the years of existence of University about 2000 inventions are created) were received. Now in the University about 300 teachers and research associates, among them 46 doctors of science, about 200 candidates of science, 7 honored science and engineering workers are occupied with the scientific work. There is postgraduate and doctoral study to strengthen bond of science and education in the University. Since 1968 over 1675 copyright certificates and patents for inventions have been received at the university, over 300 monographs have been published. International activity of the university The university participates in EU programs Tempus, Erasmus+.
