Achievements. Every year, students of the faculty take an active part in competitive scholarship programs. Among students of the Faculty of Economics of the academic year 2023-2024 are the winners of the contests held by the Youth Union of Economists and Financiers of the Russian Federation. In 2023, students won first place in the Economics section of the Lobachevsky Open Contest of Student Research Papers.

At the moment, many graduates hold top executive positions both at government entities and commercial organizations in the republic and in Russia.

Teaching staff are not only highly qualified, but also have rather good research performance indicators and required work experience in different economic sectors. More than 89% of the teachers hold academic degrees and titles. The heads of banking and finance companies, economic planning departments, accounting, audit and tax companies, with more than ten years’ work experience, take an active part in developing and delivering the educational programs.

Facilities and resources. All students have continuous access to the electronic library systems www.iprbooks.ru and www.urait.ru, the Chief Accountant, Check of the Contractors, and Sbis legal information systems, and electronic textbooks in ISU VUZ—the learning process management system which is an exclusive development of the University of Management “TISBI.” The learning environment comprises a specialized licensed software package that allows students to simulate the business processes of a virtual economic agent and analyze its activities. Students have access to the electronic system “Chief Accountant: Check of the Contractors.” During practical classes, students regularly use Internet services of the Federal Service of Court Bailiffs, the Federal Service for State Registration, My judge, Justice, and the Federal Tax Service ecosystem services.

Learning outcomes. The balance of theory and practice is an advantage of training. The teachers use innovative and practice-oriented educational technologies such as interactive classes in project and research teams, gaming technologies, workshops and internships that help students immerse themselves in the near-real working environment of an economic agent, a commercial bank, or a tax office. Digital and information technologies are in active use. Students undertake internships to develop primary abilities and skills in the Laboratory of Simulation Modeling at the University of Management “TISBI.”

Career prospects and employment. The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Federal Treasury Department for the RT, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the RT, the Federal Tax Service Directorate for the RT, Interdistrict Inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service of Russia for Major Taxpayers № 4, Sberbank of Russia, AK BARS Bank, the Commercial Bank “The Bank of Kazan,” Promsvyazbank, Rosbank, Alfa Bank, and a number of major enterprises in the RT.
