Achievements. The program has been recognized many times as one of the best educational programs of innovative Russia.

Teaching staff. Training is provided by 16 subdivisions and over 150 teachers, 80% of whom hold academic degrees of Doctors and Candidates of Sciences. The degree-granting departments are the Department of Chemical Engineering of Pharmaceutical Substances and the Department of Industrial Pharmaceutical Technology.

Learning outcomes. Students learn methods, techniques and means to produce substances and materials using physical, physicochemical and chemical processes and to produce drugs and active pharmaceutical substances based on them.

Facilities and resources. The departments have state-of-the-art laboratory analytical and process equipment. There is a GMP training center that consists of a laboratory, clean manufacturing premises of sections of solids, sterile dosage forms, and semisolids.

Research is conducted in the field of development of technologies and methods for analyzing and standardizing new and modified pharmaceutical substances and products: search for new medicines, including innovation technologies in the development of herbal medicinal products, and risk analysis in the quality management system. 

Competitive advantages. This program is a unique program that trains profession-oriented qualified personnel in drug manufacturing and good manufacturing practice requirements who are capable of ensuring manufacturing of drug products, medical devices, in-process control of drug products and manufacturing environment, in particular, in the development and registration of new pharmaceutical products, at a professional level. In particular, graduates can work as process engineers at facilities manufacturing all forms of human and animal drug products and as records management specialists at quality assurance departments. Graduates are in high demand in the job market.

Career prospects and employment. Among the graduates are specialists of pharmaceutical companies and enterprises at different levels, staff of analytical laboratories, quality assurance and control specialists at pharmaceutical enterprises, process designers at companies designing facilities that manufacture pharmaceutical substances and drug products.
