Accreditation. State accreditation. Professional-public accreditation.
Awards and achievements. Students are winners and laureates of all-Russian research and creative contests, get the Russian Government Scholarships.
Teaching staff. Training is provided by 35 teachers, including ten Doctors and 15 Candidates of Sciences. Among the teachers are Honored Workers of Higher Education, leading research workers of basic enterprises in Saint Petersburg.
Facilities and resources. All classrooms are fitted with multimedia equipment such as personal computers, projectors, information stands as well as study materials. The content of each academic discipline is available on SUAI website.
Education. Diverse active teaching methods: seminars and practical classes, business simulator, case study, roundtable discussions, problem-based discussions, master classes on current production issues from employers. Students gain solid professional background in designing central and peripheral devices of computer systems and networks, programming, design and technology of microsystems engineering and nanotechnologies. Knowledge and skills acquired while studying complex electronic and computer aerospace systems, their structures and technologies, allow graduates to successfully work for organizations and enterprises of any other industries, including medical, computer and commercial centers, communications enterprises, and service.
Research is coordinated with the plans of the Regional Council for Interaction between Universities and Enterprises of Radioelectronics, Instrument Engineering, Means of Communication and Infotelecommunicationsof Saint Petersburg under the agreement
between the Association of Enterprises for Radioelectronics, Instrument Engineering, Means of Communication and Infotelecommunications and the Union of Rectors of Saint Petersburg.
Competitive advantages. The versatility of profession, a wide range of training areas (including in-plant training), mastering modern tools of information design and production technologies. Teachers and students use intelligent systems for design and engineering,
theory of integration of design and production systems and information support of product life cycle (CALS technologies), methods for designing devices and electronic instrumentation for extreme operation conditions and operation in specialized environments, theory and practice of designing microsystem devices, FPGA-based equipment development packages.
Employers and employment. To date, the university has concluded long-term agreements with six basic organizations in Saint Petersburg for providing specialists and annual one-time requests from other organizations for the number exceeding the actual number of graduates. 90% of students start working in their degree fields while pursuing a Master’s degree.
