Achievements. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020 and professional-public accreditation carried out by the Association for Engineering Education of Russia in 2017.
Students take an active part in research projects, contests and conferences. They are prize-winners of the 16th International Conference of Students, PhD Students and Young Scientists "Prospects for the Development of Fundamental Sciences" (Tomsk). They published their articles in the journal IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering (Scopus). The developed technical solutions are protected by utility patents and patents for inventions.
Teaching staff. The program is delivered by 12 teachers, including heads and leading specialists of specialized enterprises. Over 40% have an academic degree of Doctor of Sciences.
Facilities and resources. The university uses state-of-the-art software and facilities and resources of the specialized center for WorldSkills competencies in the Electronics competency, National Instruments Research Equipment Sharing Center, REC of Photovoltaics, the Clean Zones Scientific and Laboratory Complex, and regional specialized enterprises.
Research. Students conduct research in the following areas:
1. Development and study of charged particles sources and plasma to be used in electronic-ion-plasma technologies.
2. Study of optical, electrophysical, photoelectric, luminescent properties of layers and films, diode-like electroluminescent structures and photoelectric transducers for use in optoelectronics.
Education. Practice-oriented training ensures in-depth theoretical instruction and practical skills in the design of semiconductor devices and electronic assemblies, taking into account the state-of-the-art equipment capabilities.
Strategic partners. Specialized partner enterprises such as Elektroavtomatika, Stilsoft Group, the Signal radio manufacturing plant of Stavropol, Concern Radio-Electronic Technologies, Shema, Optron-Stavropol, Monocrystal, Analog, LUM, Concern Energomera take an active part in the educational program delivery.
Competitive advantages. Students regularly undertake internships using state-of-the-art facilities and resources of partner enterprises, do their course and graduation projects by order of employers.
Graduates use their knowledge to work at specialized electronics industry enterprises in Russia and other countries and other organizations of allied industries, servicing and operating electronic and automated systems.
Assistance and support for international students and teachers. International students take part in research and educational events.
