Awards and achievements. The programs successfully underwent state accreditation in 2018 and professional-public accreditation in 2020. Among students are laureates of the open contest "Instrument Engineering, Metrology, Information and Measuring Devices and Systems" for the best research paper of university students, gold and silver medalists of the European contest for the best student research paper held by the International Society of Automation ISA in 2019 and 2020. The current President of the ISA SUAI Student Chapter is a graduate of this program.
Teaching staff. 90% of teachers have academic degrees and (or) academic titles, 100% carry out research, teaching and guiding or practical activities relevant to the discipline they teach, 22% are heads or employees of organizations whose activity is related to manufacturing electronic equipment for various purposes.
Facilities and resources. Two specialized laboratories: the laboratory of electronics, and the laboratory of automatic control systems named after V. Besekersky.
Research. Promising areas include wireless sensor networks, analytical measuring devices, tools and methods for developing systems on a chip, biomedical signal processing, simulation modeling of processes and systems, object monitoring and control systems.
Education. The university provides intensive training for specialists in the development of data collection and processing systems, systems on a chip, digital control systems, digital signal processing, computer modeling.
Strategic partners. Industrial partners: Russian and foreign companies, including Concern Granit-Electron, Design Bureau Arsenal named after M.V. Frunze, the Orion special design office, ScanEx.
International projects and programs. Teachers and students take an active part in international research and technology conferences, research contests and grant programs.
Competitive advantages. Graduates are well trained in the development of hardware for electronic systems and signal processing and simulation modeling algorithms, which allows them to create high technology products, work at military industrial enterprises, including Concern Granit-Electron, Kotlin-Novator, All-Russian Research Institute of Radio Equipment, Radar mms, Radioavionika, Kometa Corporation, KONTUR-NIIRS, Gamma Engineering, ELCUS Electronic Company, Girooptika, Concern Oceanpribor, Avtomatika-Servis, Radiopribor Plant.
