Achievements and awards. The educational program underwent professional-public accreditation in 2015.
Teaching staff. Training is provided by the highly qualified teaching staff including two Doctors of Sciences, two Candidates of Sciences as well as leading specialists and employees in the field of information security that regularly improve their qualification undertaking work placement at enterprises, specialized educational institutions and at the Faculty of Advanced Training and Professional Retraining.
Facilities and resources. The computer classrooms and laboratories have state-of-the-art computer equipment with access to the electronic information educational environment of the university. The laboratory "Software and Hardware Information Protection Methods" comprises the means of protection from leakage via TEMPEST, controls of voice information protection from leakage via technical channels, controls of information protection from unauthorized access.
Research. Research is conducted in the field of cyber attack detection and information access security.
Education. The social networking services, information and communication technologies, and the Internet are used in the educational process.
Strategic partners. As part of the agreements on cooperation in science and technology the university interacts with HEIs such as Voronezh Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (Technical University), Southern Federal University, the Central Administration of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Dagestan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Republic of Dagestan, the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Dagestan, the Federal Bailiff Service Directorate for the Republic of Dagestan.
International projects and programs. Students actively participate in and become winners and prize winners of regional, all-Russian and international contests, scientific and practical conferences such as Interuniversity Competitions in Information Security DagCTF – 2015 and DagCTF-2017, the Interuniversity Olympiad in Information Technologies and Cybersecurity, interregional interuniversity cybersecurity competitions “SibirCTF-2017,” all-Russian cybersecurity competitions “CTF Russia Cup.” Students are also winners of the program of the UMNIK Youth Scientific and Innovation Contest.
