Achievements and awards. The program underwent state accreditation in 2020.

The Bachelor’s program in Development and Maintenance of Oil Production Facilities underwent professional-public accreditation carried out by the Association of Engineering Education of Russia in 2017. The department staff was awarded PJSC Gazprom Science and Technology Prize for 2016.

Teaching staff. The educational process is implemented by 38 teachers including nine Professors, 20 Candidates of Engineering Sciences, seven Assistant Professors, two Assistants.

Facilities and resources. In cooperation with the Gazprom UGS company the department published the scientific monograph “Theory and Practice of Operation of Underground Gas Storage Facilities in the Context of Collector Layer Failure.” To implement the educational and research process, the following facilities and resources are used: AMT-411 well workover training simulator, UniTrain installation “Automation Technology” (SO4204-8U), UniTrain installation “Adjusting Technology” (SO4204-8E), a set of training simulators “Oil and Gas Industry,” Snegir-700MT thermal imaging camera, Micon-107 standalone well pressure gauge, Micon-207 standalone wellhead pressure gauge, IA-1 adhesimeter, Abris-12/8 pipeline finder, МТ-201 magnetic coating thickness tester, VID-345 magnetic-eddy current flaw detector.

Research. The department develops measures to increase productive capacity of oil and gas wells, studies the issues of oil field development onshore and offshore.

Education. The department trains highly qualified personnel for development and operation of oil, gas and gas condensate fields and underground gas storage facilities as well as for construction, repair and operation of pipeline transport facilities.

Strategic partners. The department actively cooperates with enterprises such as RN-Yuganskneftegaz, SevKavNIPIgas, SibNefteGazProekt, Neftegazproekt, Gazprom transgaz Stavropol, Gazprom UGS, etc.

Competitive advantages. Graduates successfully carryout research and development activities aimed at creating competitive and efficient technology processes of construction of pipeline transport systems facilities, ensuring highly efficient technology processes of oil and gas production, systems of automation, management, control, diagnosis and testing of professional facilities; have universal and subject-specialized competencies that make them socially mobile and stable in the labor market.
