Accreditation. State accreditation.

Awards and achievements. The program has been ranked among the best educational programs of innovative Russia since 2014. Students are participants and nominees of the annual All-Russian Olympiad “I am a Professional.”

Teaching staff. The program is delivered by 13 teachers. Over 12% hold an academic degree of Doctor of Sciences. The leading specialists of social service institutions in Yekaterinburg are engaged in the teaching process.

Facilities and resources. There are computer classrooms with modern software and multimedia equipment. The classrooms are located, in particular, at rehabilitation centers in the Sverdlovsk Region.

Education. Intensification of the use of distance learning methods (the learning platform Microsoft Teams, the virtual learning environment Moodle). Practice-oriented training and project-based learning, participation in Olympiads, contests and conferences. Gaming,
project and research methods of teaching, distance learning technologies.

Research is conducted to benefit the social service in cooperation with the institutions and universities in the Urals region, the Ministry of Social Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region. The university implements the regional medical and social project on early diagnosis and
prevention of visible malignancies in elderly people staying at social service institutions in the Sverdlovsk Region (the agreement between the Ministry of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Ministry of Social Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region, Sverdlovsk Regional
Oncological Dispensary).

Competitive advantages. A unique combination of a wide range of medical knowledge and social care skills allows graduates to become sought-after specialists in the job market. Social caring professions are professions of the future. Graduates deliver medical and social care to vulnerable people, provide psychosocial consulting services, work with different types of patients, take part in developing medical and social projects and evaluating the quality of medical and social services. Graduates can continue education by pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Health.

Employers and employment. Over 99% of graduates are employed. Many years’ cooperation with the healthcare and social care institutions in the Sverdlovsk Region opens up the opportunities for students to find a job in their degree field.
