Accreditation. State accreditation.
Awards and achievements. Students take part in events of public importance in Moscow.
Teaching staff. The program is delivered by 24 teachers, including two Doctors of Sciences and 18 Candidates of Sciences. Among the teachers are research fellows and employers' representatives from social services in Moscow.
Facilities and resources. Classrooms with multimedia equipment, computer classrooms with modern software.
Education. Students can pursue full-time and extramural study, and training is practice-oriented. Students develop teamwork, interpersonal communication, decision making and leadership skills through group discussions, role plays, workshops, case studies. Students meet with representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, attend specialists' master classes, and take part in international and interuniversity conferences on social work.
Research. Current issues of social work with different population groups.
Competitive advantages. The program content is determined based on the analysis of requirements imposed on social workers by the job market, the Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Education and the professional standard, Russian and foreign best practices adopted with the participation of leading experts in social work. Employers' representatives are engaged in the educational process. While studying, students can pursue supplementary professional programs at the same time.
Employers and employment. Students undergo practical training at social services in Moscow. The rate of graduates employed according to their formed competencies is 70%. Future professions are social worker, social care teacher, migration service specialist, pension service specialist. The key areas of activity are social diagnosis, social rehabilitation, social prevention, social control, social insurance.
Graduates can develop and effectively apply social technologies and models of modern social work, participate in solving problems of their persons under care by involving necessary specialists and leveraging their resources, analyze specific characteristics of socio-cultural space and providing social welfare of different social groups, diagnose, predict, design and model social processes and phenomena, identify and take into account cultural and linguistic specific characteristics and gender- and age-specific characteristics of people, specific characteristics of their social status and physical, mental and social health.
