Saint Petersburg State University of Telecommunications is the oldest and bestknown Russian university, the leader in training specialists for the communications and telecommunications industry. Among its graduates are world-famous scientists, public and political figures, and heads of industrial companies and enterprises working in every part of the world.
The university trains specialists in engineering, economics, and humanities degree programs and offers some English-taught Master’s programs.
Scholarship and financial support
- To give an incentive to students for their excellence in studies, sports, social life, research, science and technology, creativity, experiments and innovations, the university holds a competition to award its personal scholarship – the Sall Samba Lampsar Scholarship
- Students, admitted by referral from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, get a scholarship regardless of their academic performance during the entire period of study
Accommodation and adaptation
- All international students are sure to get accommodation in the SPbSUT dormitory
- The university staff members provide visa and registration support as well as assistance in getting health insurance during the entire period of study
- Students, who have completed the Russian language preparatory course, are provided with the opportunity to continue studying Russian as a foreign language in their first year of study. Also, Russian-speaking students organize speaking clubs to facilitate international students’ adaptation
