Kurgan State University trains specialists in natural and engineering sciences, humanities and socio-economic sciences, pedagogical education, art and culture, agriculture and forestry, and information technology and communications.

The tuition fees are 160,000-250,000 RUB depending on the field of study. The fee for Russian language courses and specialized subjects at the preparatory department starts from 150,000 RUB. The preparatory course fee includes assistance in admission to Russian universities and a program of introduction to Russian culture.

KSU implements joint educational programs with regional partners. The language of instruction is Russian, and some modules can be taught in foreign languages.

Engineering

Graduates obtain qualifications sought after in the industry and the digital economy, with the opportunity to continue their education in Master's and PhD programs.

Natural sciences

Biology, Chemistry, Ecology, Geography, and Biotechnology.

Language of instruction – Russian.

Characteristics: Most of the study time is devoted to practical training. Students conduct research in state-of-the-art laboratories, undertake field placements, operate scientific equipment, and participate in technology park projects. Graduates are sought after by research institutes, high-tech industries, and environmental services.

Humanities

Linguistics, History, Sociology, Economics, Law, and Media.

Language of instruction – Russian.

Characteristics: project-based approach to education: students develop and implement initiatives in partnership with archives, museums, media centers, and analytics agencies. Students acquire intercultural communication skills and digital competencies in humanities. Career prospects: expert analytics, international organizations, education, and media.

Short-term programs and courses

KSU offers summer schools, language courses, professional workshops, and advanced training modules.

Format: offline, online, and hybrid. Duration: from several weeks to several months.
