Awards and achievements of the educational program. The educational program frequently underwent an independent education quality evaluation according to certified accreditation teaching materials.

Teaching staff. The program is implemented by the staff having basic education relevant to the disciplines being taught and doing research. The percentage of teachers who have academic degrees and titles and work according to this educational program is 66%, and the percentage of those who have an academic degree of Doctor of Sciences and an academic title of Professor is 13%. Three specialists from foodservice enterprises are engaged in the educational process.

Some teachers are holders of the title of Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation and laureates of the All-Russian Contest “Engineer of the Year” in the category of Food Industry.

University partners within the educational program. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Penza, Penza Confectionery Factory, the Penzmash machine-building plant, the Vanslad-Retail confectionery factory, Bakery No.2 and No.4, Penza Dairy Plant, the NevskyKonditer confectionery factory, Moscow State University of Food Production, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, St. Petersburg State University of Refrigeration and Food Engineering, Voronezh State University of Technology and Design, Kursk Southwest State University, and others.

Students’ and alumni’s achievements. Students win the UMNIK and Evrika all-Russian contests, olympiads in foodservices, international forums, the regional and interregional exhibition fairs “Prodmarket,” “Penz-AGRO,” “Penza Brand,” and others. Students are prize winners of all-Russian and international sports events.

Facilities and resources comply with the required standards for socialization of a person, development of general cultural and professional competences of graduates. The classrooms and laboratories of the university have state-of-the-art equipment. The university has a sports complex, a dormitory and a library.

Opportunities for students. Students undertake their internship at advanced enterprises of Penza and the Russian Federation. Specialists are trained depending on enterprises’ needs. When completing the educational program, graduate students can combine their studies with field experience.

Employment prospects. Workshop manager, plant manager, catering process engineer, manager, marketing specialist, food safety and quality control specialist.
