Achievements and awards. The program was recognized as the agrarian education leader as part of the project Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia. The certified quality management system is successfully implemented.

Teaching staff. The academic degree holders ratio is 86%. All teachers have discipline-related education. Representatives of the real sector of economy are also involved in the program delivery.

Facilities and resources. The university has unique laboratory equipment, state-of-the-art instrumentation and production facilities. In cooperation with manufacturing companies the university set up specialized classrooms: Rostselmash, John Deere, Amazone, Kirovets, Big Dutchman, an alternative energy classroom, etc.

Research. The promising areas: research on digital agriculture using satellite navigation systems and autopilot control systems; on the use of amorphous and nanocrystalline alloys in the manufacture of new parts for agricultural machinery and in the restoration and strengthening of the worn parts to extend its operating life; on the influence of electric power supply reliability on agricultural enterprises' performance indicators and development of measures to improve reliability; improving the quality of electric power in agricultural electric power supply systems, etc.

Education. The teachers use the modular training technology, the methodology taking into account a practical constituent for training of specialists who are able to quickly adapt to a changeable environment.

Strategic partners. HEIs of the Central Federal District and other regions of Russia; Interregional Distribution Grid Company of the Center – Orelenergo, the GRADOAGROECOPROM research and design institute, Patent, Tekhnodom, Ring-Agro, AgroCenterLiski, Rostselmash, Oreloblenergo, Oboronenergo, All-Russian Research Institute of Agricultural Mechanization of the Russian Association for the Advancement of Science, etc.

International projects and programs. The university maintains partnership relations with HEIs of Europe, East Asia and North America. Students undertake internships abroad. The information on the partner organizations can be found on the university website.
