Awards and achievements. Graduation projects are prize-winners of numerous architecture contests and festivals.
Teaching staff. Training is provided by professionals in their field, having theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience at design institutes, architecture workshops, and specialized companies.
Facilities and resources. Computer classes and laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment (laser engravers, milling machines, 3D printers).
Research. The key research area is Architecture and Urban Development: history and theory, professional practice.
Education. The practice-oriented program is developed and annually updated taking into account the modern design requirements for the level of Bachelors' competence. This program is interdisciplinary. The main subjects are architectural engineering, computer graphics and design, architectural structures, and design theory. The university implements a single Bachelor training concept, has a system of professional retraining and advanced training.
Strategic partners. Design, architecture and urban development institutions and enterprises, scientific organizations, and authorities: the Tyumen Region Government, administrative authorities of municipal entities of Tyumen, Tobolsk, Ishim, the Salekhard City Administration, the IST Architectural and Engineering Team, the Tyumenproekt design company, Architect A.V. Tabanakov Workshop, the Geoproekt engineering research company, the City Institute of House Design, and many others.
International projects and programs. The university has successfully developed the double degree program with Northeast Petroleum University (Daqing, China).
Competitive advantages. Students have an opportunity to pursue their Master's and PhD degrees.
Assistance and support for international students and teachers. The university meets international students, offers them dormitory accommodation assistance. The Interclub's Counseling Office project helps them solve daily life and social problems. As part of pre-university training for international students, the university implements International Buddy Club projects aimed at successful adaptation and overcoming cross-cultural communication barriers. Students have advisors and mentors. The university annually holds festivals such as Hello, IUT; Mr. Foreigner IUT, International Festival of Youth and Students "Generation without Borders" to create an integrated multicultural community, develop creative skills, and find self-motivated young people.
