Accreditation. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020.

Achievements. The program was recognized as the best educational program in 2012-2022. The staff members have published over 600 papers, including more than 350 papers in the leading journals included in the world citation databases Web of Science and Scopus and obtained five patents of the RF and one patent of the USA.

Teaching staff. The department employs seven Doctors and 18 Candidates of Sciences. The Dean of the Faculty is a holder of the title of Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the RF and was awarded the medal “For Valorous Labor.” There is a scientific school under the supervision of Professor A. Aksenov. The leading Russian and foreign scientists are engaged in the program delivery.

Facilities and resources. The university has lecture halls equipped with multimedia, academic and research chemical laboratories, self-access centers, and computer classrooms.

Education. State-of-the-art technologies and equipment of the laboratories of chemical synthesis and physicochemical analysis are used in the learning process. The university cooperates with its strategic partners such as Southern Federal University, Ural Federal University, the Faculty of Chemistry of Lomonosov MSU, D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, and other universities. Students undertake work placements at top enterprises and scientific organizations. As part of international projects, the university maintains contacts and cooperation with US universities such as New Mexico Tech, Kansas University, the University of Illinois in Chicago.

Research. The key research areas: as part of the scientific school “New Selective Synthesis Methodologies” (development of synthesis methods for biologically active compounds for OLED technologies, etc.); development of new materials for electronics.
