Current position in rankings. Gnesins Academy is ranked among Top 100 best Russian HEIs according to Forbes.

Achievements and awards. The program successfully underwent professional-public accreditation (the National Centre for Public Accreditation, 2019).

Students are laureates and medalists of prestigious all-Russian and international competitions (the 9th and 10th World Choir Games, the European Champions Competition and Grand Prix of Nations, etc.), holders of presidential grants.

Teaching staff. High-quality training is provided by the experienced teaching staff including 16 Professors, 13 Associate Professors, one Doctor of Sciences, six PhDs, People’s Artists of the RF and the USSR, Honored Artists and Art Workers of the RF, laureates of the RF Government Award, the National Award of the RF and the USSR, Honored Workers of Higher Education of the RF, Honored Workers of Higher Professional Education of the RF, laureates of all-Russian and international competitions.

Facilities and resources. The Academy has all the necessary training facilities and resources to ensure high quality of the educational process: computer classes, the library and record library collections that are regularly replenished, a reading hall with internet access.

Research. The departments actively conduct research on vocal and choral music, conducting pedagogy and performance (A. Ryzhinskiy, P. Karpov, Yu. Rogacheva, N. Filatova, V. Chistiakov, etc.).

Education. Academic activity is maintained at a high level due to creative and concert performance activities. Students regularly attend concerts and master classes of outstanding conductors, undertake teaching, performance and research internships, participate in interuniversity student scientific conferences.

The teaching staff members use student-centered and practice-oriented approaches, give creative interactive classes.

Strategic partners. The Yurlov Russian State Choir, the Bolshoi Theater of Russia, the Helikon-Opera Moscow Musical Theater, the Speransky Opera Studio Theater, the Kolobov Novaya Opera Moscow Theater, the Tchaikovsky Bolshoi Symphony Orchestra, the Svetlanov State Symphony Orchestra of Russia, the Nekrasov Russian Folk Instruments Orchestra, the Osipov National Russian Folk Instruments Orchestra, the Russian Weaves State Academic Orchestra of Soloists, etc.

Assistance and support for foreign students and teachers. International students and teaching staff are supported by the Dean’s Office for International Students and the Department of International Relations and Creative Projects.
