Achievements and awards. The educational program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2018.
Two students of this educational program were awarded Category I diplomas in the WorldSkills championship in the Efficient Production Management competency.
Teaching staff. 98.3% of the teachers of the Department of Construction and Technology of Electronic and Laser Equipment have academic degrees. The teaching staff includes 13 Doctors of Engineering Sciences, six Doctors of Engineering Sciences from real engineering and defense sectors of the economy.
Facilities and resources. The department has unique equipment for students’ research in laboratory and academic and research works: there are two sets of nanoeducators; a climatic test chamber “heat-humidity-cold;” a top-class vibration testing system, state-of-the laser setups; a state-of-the art probe station for microelectronic elements; optical systems and complexes.
Research. The department’s research activities are carried out in the most promising areas of modern instrument engineering.
Education. As part of the educational program the department trains process designers in instrument engineering mainly focusing on assembly and control and testing technologies of aerospace instrumentation. These specifics determine ideology and methodology of the educational program.
Strategic partners. The university maintains science and technology cooperation with specialized enterprises such as the Elektroavtomatika experimental design bureau, Techpribor, Zaslon, Radioavionica, Concern Central Research Institute Elektropribor.
International projects and programs. Teachers and students take an active part in international scientific and technical conferences, research competitions, and grant programs.
Competitive advantages. Graduates are in high demand in the labor market. The university boasts highly qualified staff and unique equipment and maintains close ties with potential employers. Practical training facilities have been effectively developed.
