Awards and achievements. Winner of UMNIK program: grant "Development of a Gas Production System with the Introduction of an Inverted Pump for Automatic Elimination of Water Accumulation in the Well."
Teaching staff. The educational process is carried out by over 15 Professors, Doctors of Engineering Sciences, over 70 Associate Professors, Candidates of Economics, Engineering, Geological-Mineralogical, Philological, Pedagogical Sciences. Leading specialists of the oil and gas complex are involved in teaching.
Facilities and resources. Testing laboratory "Simulator for Modeling Well Drilling Processes." Full-scale drilling simulator "DrillSim-5000," a training complex for dispatching control of main oil pipelines. Scientific and educational laboratory "Research of the Properties of Grouting Materials."
Research. The School carries out fundamental and applied scientific research, as well as project and experimental design developments, innovative activities in the field of geotechnical monitoring of pipeline transport facilities and improving the operational reliability of oil and gas facilities.
Education. The Center of Project Education implements a unique innovative "Project Activity" system that combines classical and problem-oriented methods of teaching.

Solving current technological problems of industrial partners in cooperation with students and teaching staff, integrating specialized software and courses of industrial partners in the OP, a database of cases on industry topics available in the electronic support system for the educational process, inter-semester work in the format of project sessions with representatives of industrial partners, teaching staff, management of the university and students, an opportunity of attracting grant funding by project teams of students under the guidance of experts and specialists of companies, the defense and nomination of the results of project activities at all-Russian and international competitions and scientific conferences as a mandatory component of the educational process, regular evaluation of projects by a specialized expert commission consisting of internal and external stakeholders.
