Achievements. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020 and professional-public accreditation carried out by the Association for Engineering Education of Russia in 2017. The grant from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. The first place in the Professional Internships 2.0 project (Sakhalin Energy, Irkutsk Oil Company, etc.). The third place in the regional contest for young entrepreneurs. The youth award of the Russian Union of Scientific and Engineering Public Associations "Hope of Russia." The first place in the all-Russian contest for international students.
Teaching staff. The program is delivered by 80 teachers. Over 10% of the staff are heads and employees of specialized enterprises.
Facilities and resources. Oil and gas well workover and development laboratory. Oil and gas production, collection and processing laboratory. Pipeline transport laboratory. Drilling muds and cement slurries laboratory.
Research. The promising research areas are drilling-in technique (balanced drilling), well completion techniques (bottomhole design, cement slurries), process liquids for well drilling and workover, etc. Researchers take part in international and all-Russian research and practice conferences, contests, forums. The research findings are published in Russian and international periodicals.
Education. Information and communication technologies, project methods of teaching, game and simulation technologies, distance learning technology, etc.

NEOLANT Service, RN-Stavropolneftegaz, Stavropol Department of Emergency Response and Restoration Operations and Well Workover, a branch of Gazprom UGS, North-Caucasus Research and Design Institute of Natural Gases, Gazprom proektirovanie, Stavropol Underground Gas Storage Department, a branch of Gazprom UGS, Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol, Surgutneftegaz, Stavrolen, Gazprom podzemremont Urengoy, and other manufacturing companies.
Competitive advantages. The educational program for international students in Operation and Maintenance of Oil Production Facilities is taught in English. The institute also delivers in-demand programs of professional retraining and continuing education, that were recognized as the winners of the All-Russian Continuing Education Contest "Educational Marathon." Students have an opportunity to pursue a Master's degree. The institute assists students in undertaking study placements at foreign universities.
Assistance and support for international students and teachers. International students take part in research and educational activities.
