Teaching staff. The teachers involved in the program delivery are highly qualified and have rather good research performance indicators and required work experience in economics. They include Candidates of Sciences, Associate Professors, Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation, a member of the Methodological Board of the State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, the author of the specialized course "Organization and Planning of Service Enterprises' Activities," practicing professionals: the director of recruitment company and the masterchef.

Research. Research is actively conducted at the faculty under the supervision of the highly qualified teachers. Students participate in specialized exhibitions, republican and international conferences, student science decades.

Education. Students acquire relevant knowledge of service management, various types of services and of how to build a spotless reputation for any company using service. Starting from the first year of study students undertake intensive internship: hands-on classes, business games, workshops and master classes given by service professionals. During their studies students undertake internships at travel companies, sightseeing tour agencies, hotel industry enterprises, catering enterprises, in entertainment industry, at the chamber of commerce and industry, at various ministries and government agencies as well as under international student exchange programs, which provides them with employment opportunities.

Strategic partners. The department constantly cooperates with 80 service and tourism organizations of the city and the republic. It has established partnership relations with educational institutions, scientific and international organizations of the USA, Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, Turkey, China for implementing academic exchange programs and joint projects and holding master classes, international conferences, forums, and seminars.

International projects and programs. Our students are always at the center of social, sports and cultural events (Kazansummit, APEC Russia, Universiade 2013, Tour Factor, Tourism in the XXI Century, etc.).

Students annually participate in the Student Science Decade, in interuniversity business games, republican contests held by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, specialized exhibitions "Tourism Industry," republican and international conferences.

Competitive advantages. The teachers are leading practicing experts of the industry. The university provides practice-oriented training. It also provides professional language training using interactive methods such as Case Study and Project Work.
