Awards and achievements. The department students take an active part in and win the top all-Russian contests “My Contribution to Grandeur of Russia,” the Olympiad “I am a Professional,” participate in the annual student contest of the Circle Movement of the National Technology Initiative “Aerial Robotics.” Students successfully implement projects in the field of logistics, supply chains, and unmanned transport systems and participate in the all-Russian student championships held by the Skills Development Agency in the competencies of Operation of Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Aerial Robotics. In 2022, the Bachelor’s student won a gold medal in the interuniversity championship in the Operation of Unmanned Aircraft Systems competency. Students get grants and personal scholarships from the Saint Petersburg Government, become laureates of the Student of the Year contest, and present their transport projects at accelerators and hackathons. Teaching staff. More than 90% of the department teachers hold academic degrees and (or) academic titles and conduct research on transport processes. Training is provided by both eminent professors and young researchers and representatives of the top transport enterprises in Saint Petersburg. Facilities and resources. The laboratories: modeling of transport processes and systems; intelligent transportation infrastructure; unmanned aircraft systems; transport logistics; system analysis. Education. Students gain both theoretical knowledge in the field of operation and management on transport and practical skills in solving particular transport tasks. The have the opportunity to participate in the specialized additional courses, including the English-taught courses. Research. Students conduct research in the field of logistics and management on transport, modeling of transport processes and systems, unmanned transport systems and develop transport information systems projects. They present their research findings at a separate annual workshop as part of the international conference “Aerospace Instrumentation and Operational Technologies” (SUAI), and present their development projects at the conferences.
