Awards and achievements. Master’s students at the department get grants and personal scholarships from the Saint Petersburg Government and present their transport projects at accelerators and hackathons. For example, the Master’s student at the department won a gold medal in the International BRICS Championship in the Arial Robotics category with a new solution in unmanned cargo delivery.

Teaching staff. Among the teachers are Honored Workers of Higher Education, laureates of state contests, and heads of transport enterprises. The teachers hold academic degrees (or) academic titles, conduct research, and have a long track record in the transport industry.

Facilities and resources. The laboratories fitted with state-of-the-art research equipment, specialized software systems to solve transport tasks and application systems for data analysis and research.

Research. Master’s students conduct research in the field of technology of transport processes and intelligent transport systems. They have the opportunity to conduct full-cycle research, from developing a mathematical model to practical research both at the department laboratories and partner enterprises. In the field of unmanned transport, emphasis is placed on unmanned aircraft systems, development of projects and services for information transport systems. Some specialized courses are aimed at implementing projects on the development and introduction of digital twins of transport systems, solving the tasks of studying transport systems based on building new mathematical models, data analysis and decision making under uncertainty. Master’s students have the opportunity to participate in international research groups and get grants to implement promising projects on transport and supply chains.

Competitive advantages. The Master’s program curriculum includes a set of special disciplines developing key competencies of an expert in logistics. Students gain key knowledge necessary for designing logistic processes and systems on transport, studying transport process and systems, and loss and risk assessment and management in transport processes.
