Achievements. The program has been recognized many times as one of the best educational programs of innovative Russia.

Teaching staff. Training is provided by 14 departments, over 30 teachers, 80% of whom have academic degrees of Doctors and Candidates of Sciences. There are six Master’s programs. The degree-granting departments are the Department of Dosage Form Technology, the Department of Industrial Pharmaceutical Technology, the Department of Chemical Engineering of Pharmaceutical Substances, the Department of Chemical Engineering Processes and Devices, and the Department of Economics and Management.

Facilities and resources. The departments have state-of-the-art laboratory analytical and process equipment. When doing practical training, students use the GMP training center equipped with state-of-the-art devices.

Education. Classes are conducted offline with active participation of industrial partners – representatives of pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries and related industries. Strategic partners. Pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies such as Biocad, Vertex, Novartis Neva, Geropharm, Pharmproject, Solopharm (Grotex), Active Component, Pharmsynthez, Polysan, Synthez, Alium, Medisorb.

Research is conducted in the field of pharmaceutical development of innovative dosage forms and application of additive technologies in the manufacture of modern medicinal products, synthesis, modification, and scaling of Russian pharmaceutical substances, design, and optimization of operating modes of process and pharmaceutical equipment, the pharmaceutical market research including an analysis of the behavior of prices for pharmaceutical products.

Competitive advantages. Students gain profound knowledge of chemical synthesis of active pharmaceutical substances, manufacture of finished dosage forms, GMP principles and drug manufacturing process management according to these principles, APS synthesis equipment.

Employers and employment. Graduates are sought after by scientific centers and enterprises manufacturing pharmaceutical substances and medicines; servicing and designing chemical and pharmaceutical facilities. Among graduates are pharmaceutical industry leaders at different levels, staff of R&D centers, marketing authorization, quality assurance and quality control specialists at pharmaceutical enterprises, authorized personnel.
