Awards and achievements. The winner in the Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia category (2021), the honorary diploma “100 Best Enterprises and Organizations in Russia-2020,” the laureate diploma of the All-Russian Contest “The Best Universities in the Russian Federation-2020,” the diploma “Innovative Educational Technologies in Higher Education,” Interexpo GEO-Siberia-2015.
Admission requirements for foreign citizens. Foreign citizens can apply to SSUGT on equal terms with Russian citizens.
Scholarships and grants. Students get government-public scholarships.
Education. Project methods of teaching, research methods of teaching, teamwork, innovative assessment systems are used. Business games are played, and contests, Olympiads, and hackathons are held. SSUGT has the International Center for Education that provides pre-university training for foreign citizens and prepares foreign citizens for admission to PhD and doctoral studies. The Center teaches Russian as a foreign language with subsequent testing and issuance of standard certificates. To enroll in the educational program or at the Preparatory Department at the university, applicants must send their application specifying the preferred mode and duration of study, passport copy and the completed application form to the e-mail address of the International Center for Education (mo.center@ssga.ru).
Competitive advantages. The practical training facilities include training ranges. The university has state-of-the-art equipment, including personal computers, digital geodetic instruments, unmanned aerial vehicles, modern software. The university develops the
continuing education system and delivers continuing professional education programs.
Employers and employment. Government authorities, municipal authorities and commercial organizations, enterprises specializing in cadastres, land management, land monitoring and protection, municipal and territorial administration, urban development, geodetic support for cadastral surveying, distance measurement and monitoring systems.
