Achievements and awards. The educational program underwent professional-public accreditation in professional-public accreditation in 2015. The level of graduates' professional competence was highly appreciated by the regional radio engineering and radioelectronic organizations and enterprises.

Teaching staff. The highly qualified teaching staff includes four Doctors of Sciences, Professors, five Candidates of Sciences, Associate Professors, five Candidates of Sciences, Assistant Professors. Some of the teachers are Honored Workers of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation, laureates of National Awards in Science and Technology, Excellent Workers of Education of the Republic of Dagestan.

Facilities and resources. The university established research and learning and research laboratories and centers for a number of courses and special subjects such as signal generation and conditioning devices, optimum signal processing methods and tools, digital signal processing.

Research. The main research areas include the following: electronic warfare and cybersecurity systems, unmanned aerial vehicle and marine drones, military machinery, digital active phased antenna array, development of microsatellite systems of radio communications and navigation, transceiving communications and control systems of optical and microwave bands.

Education. Masters are trained in the Systems and Devices for Signal Transmission, Reception and Processing major. The teachers use state-of-the-art educational models and technologies, 3D models of a directional pattern of microwave antennas. Microelectronic transceivers are schematically represented in an interactive mode. The university applies the programs describing physical processes occurring when thermoelectric devices are analyzed.

Strategic partners. The university cooperates with the Radio and Television Transmission Center of the Republic of Dagestan, the Botlikh Radio Manufacturing Plant, Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI," the Rostelecom internet service provider.

International projects and programs. The teachers and students participate in research and development projects for young researchers and research grant competitions. They annually win prestigious awards for their research in international contests such as the International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies “Archimedes,” the International exhibition "Measurements, World, Person," in the UMNIK program, etc.
