Teaching staff. Training in the Academic Singing program is provided by outstanding internationally renowned singers working at the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Russia, the Moscow State Academic Chamber Music Theater named after B.A. Pokrovsky and singing on the best world’s opera stages. The teaching staff of the department include three Professors and 10 Associate Professors, six holders of the title of People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, one People’s Artist of Armenia, four Honored Artists of Russia, eight winners of Russian and international competitions.
Academy partners within the educational program. Bachelors’ degree students actively perform concert activities, give public concerts, participate in educational and philanthropic events. The best students annually participate in master classes given in Russia and abroad (in France, Italy, Spain, etc.) and regularly participate in various singing international competitions.
Alumni’s achievements. The alumni of the department have excellent professional skills that allow them to work in opera Theaters, win numerous competitions including the most prestigious ones. They are laureates of numerous international and all-Russian competitions including Big Opera and The Voice TV competitions.
Facilities and resources. The academy accommodates its students in the dormitory equipped with rehearsal rooms, a gym and an auditorium, and a sports ground. The material and technical equipment of 17 specialized classrooms for individual and practical classes complies with the established standards. The library and record library fund related to the educational program is regularly replenished and completed with new printed media and audio and video recordings. The academy has four concert halls. State-of-the-art recording and video equipment ensures high-quality recording of concerts.
Opportunities for students. Students of the department undertake their internship in Moscow theaters, participate in the Bolshoi Theater Youth Program. Their employers are the Moscow State Opera and Ballet Theater for Young Audience named after Natalia Sats, the Moscow State Academic Chamber Music Theater named after B.A. Pokrovsky, the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Singing Center in Moscow, the Novaya Opera Theater. Master’s degree students take part in performances of the Opera Studio Theater named after Yu.A. Speransky, which plays an important part in the establishment of future performing artists.
