Awards and achievements of the educational program. In 2013 the program underwent professional-public accreditation (Certificate No.0204 of December 03, 2013 for 5 years). In 2015 the program successfully underwent state accreditation (the certificate was issued for the period until 2020).
The Bachelor's program is also offered by the Department of Health and Safety and the Department of Biotechnology and Technosphere Safety.
Teaching staff. Training is provided by the highly qualified teachers including seven Professors and 26 Associate Professors doing active scientific research. Over the last five years they have obtained 12 patents and three grants including the joint grant with the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (India). As part of the TEMPUS program, the university cooperates with top universities of Slovakia and Italy.
University partners within the educational program. The university cooperates with South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (the Environmental Protection double degree program for third-year Bachelor students), the University of Applied Sciences in Mikkeli (Finland), Sh. UalikhanovKokshetau State University (Kazakhstan).
Students’ and alumni’s achievements. Students of the department actively participate in contests of research works and professional skill competitions: the V.I. Muravlenko Regional Contest of Student Research Works, the professional skill competition. Alumna S. Tarasova is the prize winner of the second all-Russian youth scientific contest “Russia. Ecology. Energy Saving,” the International Contest Forum “Problems of Mineral Resources Management.”
A. Ivanko, the alumnus of 2013, is a leading specialist at the Department of Industrial Health and Safety and Environmental Protection of the Achimgaz gas company.
Facilities and resources. The Industrial University of Tyumen has comfortable dormitories. Students can use the Architect concert hall and a swimming pool. The classes are given using multimedia classrooms and numerous computer classrooms. The training sessions and research take place in the laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art devices.
Opportunities for students. Internships are undertaken at the Department of Subsurface Management and Ecology of the Tyumen Region, Concrete Product Plant, Tyumen House-building Company, the Mostostroy construction company, the Rosvodokanal Tyumen water supply company, at oil and gas companies such as Giprotyumenneftegaz, Transneft, NK LUKOIL, RN-Uvatneftegaz, at the Schlumberger oilfield services company.
They can also undertake study placements at partner universities.
Employment prospects. Work safety and fire protection specialist, watch officer at civil defense and emergency situation department, industrial safety specialist, labor state inspector, environmental engineer, design engineer (environmental expert), environmental safety specialist.
